Một câu khó làm bạn bối rối vì không hiểu nghĩa được, khả năng đáp án sẽ là từ mà bạn ít gặp nhất, bởi vì đã là đề ĐH thì không bao giờ nó cho đáp án là một từ quen thuộc cả.
– Mẹo đánh “lụi” trắc nghiệm môn tiếng anh: khác thì bỏ
Nguyên tắc này ý nói là khi xem xét các đáp án từ ngoài vào nếu thấy có 1 đáp án nào khác với đa số còn lại thì ta loại đáp án đó ngay.
Cách thức áp dụng mẹo làm bài thi trắc nghiệm môn tiếng anh này: Khi làm bài (nhất là gặp các câu dài, phức tạp) ta hãy xem xét đồng thời một lúc 4 chọn lựa, từ ngoài vào trong, nếu thấy chọn lựa nào khác với 3 cái kia thì ta loại ngay. Sau đó xét tiếp các đoạn tiếp theo nếu có 1 chọn lựa khác với 2 cái kia thì loại tiếp. Cuối cùng chỉ còn lại 2 chọn lựa thì ta xem coi chúng khác nhau chỗ nào mà xoáy vào chỗ khác nhau đó để suy luận đúng sai, nếu không suy luận được thì chọn đại 1 trong 2, cơ hội là 50:50.

– Nếu trong đáp án có câu đảo ngữ thì xác suất cao câu đó là đáp án đúng

Trong 4 đáp án thì xác suất cao đáp án A và B là đáp án đúng. Tất nhiên ta sẽ loại B vì cấu trúc đảo ngữ không đúng, phải có trợ động từ mới đúng. Vì vậy đáp án đúng là A.
– Mẹo làm bài thi trắc nghiệm môn tiếng anh phần điền từ vào chỗ trống:
– Bước 1: đọc nhanh cả bài từ đầu đến cuối, không dừng lại khi gặp từ mới hay thông tin chưa hiểu. Mục đích của lần đọc này là tìm hiểu ý chính, cách tổ chức thông tin. Thời gian cho đọc lần một khoảng 30 giây – 1 phút.
– Bước 2: Phân tích chỗ trống cần điền, thí sinh đọc không chỉ câu có chứa chỗ trống cần điền, mà cả câu trước và sau nó để nắm rõ ý và xác định từ cần điền đóng vai trò ngữ pháp là gì, nghĩa là gì, có thể là từ loại nào.
Sau đó phân tích phân tích đáp án cho sẵn, loại đáp án sai, tìm đáp án đúng. Thời gian làm bài khoảng 3 phút-4 phút cho mỗi bài đọc hiểu.

– Bước 2: Dựng câu đúng trên cơ sở đã phân tích;
– Bước 3: so sánh từ/cụm từ được gạch dưới với câu đúng mà mình vừa dựng, xác định lỗi dựa trên các nhóm lỗi chính đã học.
Cả 3 bước này đều diễn ra trong đầu và diễn ra rất nhanh trong vòng khoảng 1 phút/ một câu hỏi thi. Vì thế để làm quen dạng bài này các em nhớ thường xuyên luyện tập.

Các bài tìm lỗi trong câu của đề thi tuyển sinh ĐH và CĐ môn tiếng Anh cũng có các nhóm lỗi như trên và có thêm nhóm 5 là kết hợp nhiều lỗi trong cùng một cụm từ hoặc từ gạch dưới. Số lượng lỗi cần xác định cũng nhiều hơn (2 lỗi trong mỗi câu).

Các câu trắc nghiệm dạng chọn từ/cụm từ điền vào chỗ trống bao gồm cả phần kỹ năng viết, trắc nghiệm từ vựng, trắc nghiệm ngữ pháp và trắc nghiệm chức năng giao tiếp.
– Bước 1: đọc cả câu để nắm rõ:
+ Nghĩa cần truyền đạt;
+ Thời và cấu trúc câu/loại câu;

Các em lưu ý đây là một số mẹo làm bài thi trắc nghiệm môn tiếng anh khuyến nghị, nhưng không phải là cách tốt nhất cho mỗi thí sinh.
Để có được kỹ năng làm bài tốt và phân bổ thời gian hợp lý, các em có thể vào trang web của Bộ Giáo dục để tải các đề thi từ các năm trước và luyện tập định kỳ.
Khi làm bài, nhớ làm theo thời gian mà bài thi quy định và trong môi trường yên tĩnh, không bị gián đoạn để có thể làm bài liên tục như trong môi trường thi thật. Trong quá trình luyện tập, các em hãy cố gắng tìm ra các kỹ thuật tốt nhất cho bản thân mình.

22 Common Idioms in IELTS Speaking
Idiom – A group of words (or a single word) which have a meaning that is not understood by combining the standard definitions of the individual words (though that meaning may sometimes be inferred).
- bump into – to meet someone by chance ==> I bumped into my old friends at the seminar for education officials
- A drop in the ocean – every small part of something much bigger. => Just learning idioms is a drop in the ocean when it comes to preparing for the speaking test.
- work flat out – work very hard ==> The employees have been working flat out to get the job finished ahead of the deadline.
- The in thing – something fashionable.==>The new iPhone is really the in thing at the moment.
- make a fuss over – overly care for someone/something ==> Whenever they visit Grandma she makes a fuss over the children.
- Run of the mill – average, ordinary ==> Apple phones are very run of the mill these days.
- far-fetched – usually refers to an idea, choice, decision, plan that may be unusual, probably not a good choice. ==>The government’s choice for the new Defense Secretary seemed pretty far fetched to the opposition party.
- ace – to do well. Usually used relating to a test, competition, something with a score, or a clear winner or loser. ==> He aced the history test. He is an ace pitcher/batter/tennis player.
- A hot potato – a controversial topic.==> Abortion and capital punishment are hot potatoes in my country at the moment.
- Get a kick out of (something) – to get excitement or pleasure from an event or thought. ==> I really get a kick out of seeing the crazy things carried on motorbikes sometimes.
- bent out of shape – often used to admonish others not to be too upset. ==> Don’t get all bent out of shape about the way they drive over here!
- Give (lend) somebody a hand – to give some forms of assistance with a task ==> Could you give me a hand with this shipment?
- Sit on the fence – to be undecided. ==> I haven’t made my mind up about that issue, I’ll have to sit on the fence.
- A piece of cake – very easy. ==> Getting a band 6 in the speaking test will be a piece of cake.
- hit the books – to study, usually intensively ==> I will sit the IELTS test next week. That’s why I have beenhitting the books all day long.
